Call for abstracts - Guidelines

The 8th Mission Idea Contest (MIC8) is seeking your brilliant and innovative ideas towards the advancement of deep space science and exploration with micro/nanosatellites. We are seeking meaningful mission ideas that are innovative, affordable and technically achievable. The contest is open to all peoples, from all nations who have the technical ability and an interest to participate with no restrictions on academics, professionals, or team applicants. By participating in the contest, you will have the opportunity to expand and refine your knowledge, develop your career profile and network, and receive exposure for your ideas on a global platform. We strongly encourage academics who wish to enter the contest to use MIC8 as a teaching platform by forming a team with interested students.

Submission Process

1. Abstracts (max 5 pages) are now open and must be submitted online.
2. Please submit your abstract by June 30, 2023 9:00AM (JST) July 10, 2023.
3. All submitted abstracts will be reviewed by a panel against the selection criteria.
4. Selected abstract submissions proceeding to full paper submission will be notified by August 8, 2023.
5. Full paper submissions (max 12 pages) will be accepted until October 3, 2023.
6. Final presentation given on November 29, 2023.
