Professor In-Seuck Jeung has been a professor at Seoul National University since 1984. While he completed all of his degrees from Seoul National University he has also served as a visiting scientist, honorary fellow and professor at Hosei University, University of Minnesota and University of California, Irvine during his career.
Prof. Jeung’s current research interest includes CubeSat development as a consortium member of QB50 project supported by EU-FP7, ARLISS participation, while his long term interest has been focused on scramjet and ramjet combustion and the design of the test facility. He also participates in work on gas turbine combustors, ram accelerators, ramjet intake test, hydrogen leak explosion, laser propulsion, laser plasma flow control, aero-optic analysis and hypersonic aerothermodynamics.
In addition to serving on the editorial board of The Proceedings of the Combustion Institute, Prof. Jeung has served as a Colloquium Co-Chair and on the board of The Combustion Institute. He is also active in the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics, the Korean Society of Propulsion Engineers, and The Korean Society for Aeronautical and Space Sciences. Prof. Jeung also serves as a member of the editorial board of Progress in Energy and Combustion Science and is an active participant in the International Symposium on Shock Waves, the Asian-Pacific International Symposium on Aerospace Technology, and the Asian Joint Conference on Propulsion and Power.
